I’d researched many different breeders across the country in a search for just the right fit for our household. Finding AK Mountain Doodles and their beautiful dogs was an absolute gift. We were looking for a pup to join us on our hikes, backpacking trips, pack rafting and more- and what we found far exceeded expectations. From the very first interaction, Lisa was proactive, friendly, communicative and able to quickly identify which litter of pups might be the best option for us. She kept us updated every step of the way and sent photos throughout the early weeks after the puppies were born.

When it was time to choose a pup, we were able to visit and meet each one and I fell in love with my little girl pup. My husband- the one who originally didn’t think he wanted a dog- actually bonded instantly with a little boy pup. We decided on the little girl and headed home, letting Lisa know we would love to be waitlisted for the second pup if he became available. We were so delighted when things worked out and we were able to bring both puppies home.

These pups are extraordinarily well-adjusted, socialized, healthy, secure-attached, and wildly intelligent. They’ve responded beautifully to consistent training, enjoy meeting other dogs and humans, and they love the outdoors.

It’s evident that the pups and their parents are beloved members of Lisa’s family and an extension of her thoughtful, well-researched care and commitment to their health and well-being. It’s been a delight to work with Lisa through these months and we’ve highly recommended AK Mountain Doodles to our friends and family.

I must begin by saying my Chica girl has been the best dog I've ever had! She's beautiful, smart, obedient, well mannered, a HUGE love bug and the perfect size. She'll be turning 2 November 2022. So, I've had her long enough to be able to give an honest review for her as well as Lisa.

Lisa has been the best breeder to work with. She kept us in the loop from the very beginning. Constantly sending pictures and updates from the day they were born, up until I picked her up! Since I live a few hours away, I was able to meet all the puppies via "Marco Polo" and watch them interact with her and her children. It was then that we chose Chica out of the litter. Once we named her, Lisa and her family would also start to call her that. I feel like that helped her get to know her name so much quicker once we were able to pick her up. But doing all of that, made us feel like we were a part of the first couple months of her life too. I've kept in contact with Lisa off and on by sending pictures and updates. She loves to hear how her puppies are doing and to get pictures. The whole experience was unexpected, but extremely pleasant.

Now for the cost, I know it seems like a lot. But looking at the whole picture, it was worth it 100%. Her overall health has been top notch, she's hypoallergenic, we wanted her to look like her dad, I was guaranteed a female (from that litter or the next), and she had to be 25-35 lbs. We got exactly what we wanted, and her demeanor was better than we could have hoped for. All of that, plus the experience with Lisa was well worth the money. If money weren't a factor, I would have bought one of her siblings too. Again, best, and prettiest dog I've ever had!

We are extremely happy with this new furry addition to our family. He’s 4 months old and
already understands basic training words. He learned to ring a bell when he needs to go outside
at around 3 months old so zero indoor accidents and he loves the outdoors.
He is highly intelligent and has great social skills with other animals and people. We walk
through busy hardware stores on a lease and he is comfortable even with unexpected loud
noises and crowds of people.
Lisa was great to work with and kept us up to date with pregnancy/medical milestones and lots
of puppy pictures making the whole experience a positive one. AK Mountain Doodles is neat
and clean and the dogs look happy and well cared for. We highly recommend them!

Our little Roxy has felt like a family member since day one! We did a lot of research before selecting AK Mountain Doodles and were so happy we came across the Carleton family. Lisa was a joy to work with and kept us updated during the entire process and provided lots of pictures. Roxy has blended wonderfully with our family and loves our 2 year old son. Training has gone smoothly and you can tell these are very intelligent dogs. She has been great off the leash since her first week home and I get compliments often from other dog owners how well she listens and comes when called. "Lisa did such a good job preparing her puppies for their future homes. We picked up our puppy a few days before New Years and I was prepared for the worst regarding the fireworks. This little puppy could not have cared less about the fireworks, even though they were going off right next door! Same for the vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, snow blower... He is fine on slippery surfaces, uneven surfaces, steep surfaces... From day one our puppy has been totally okay with whatever has come his way. Lisa did an excellent job socializing the puppies. Our puppy LOVES people, especially little kids, AND he loves other dogs! He doesn’t mind if we play with his paws, tail, ears, or mouth. Lisa introduced the puppies to kennels and our puppy actually prefers sleeping in his kennel to sleeping in his extra plush dog bed beside it. Lisa took care of so much before we picked up our puppy and gave all her puppies such a great start. It made it so easy to just bring him home and enjoy him."

I can't imagine buying a dog from anyone else!

My husband and I lost our boxer unexpectedly in April of 2019 at only 5 years old. We were devastated and heartbroken with hole in our hearts and our home - our younger dog Zara was having a hard time as well. After a few months of healing, but still feeling that emptiness, we decided to start looking for another dog. I felt like I wanted another boxer, but my husband wasn't sure we could handle that so soon. We started researching into dogs with similar temperaments and personalities and instantly fell in love with the characteristic traits of a goldendoodle. Thus, the search began.

When coming across AK Mountain Doodles, I was instantly in love with the fact that these puppies were coming from a big family that obviously loves their dogs. I was also highly impressed with the thorough genetic screening and the special care given to all of their puppies and everything that was taken care of before going to their forever homes. Lisa was so understanding throughout the entire process and shared my excitement for their upcoming litter. She kept me updated on Pippa and immediately let me know when the puppies were born. I was so excited I cried.

Throughout the process of the puppies growing, I received many photo updates personally and Lisa kept their website up to date with more photos as well. After getting the okay, we got to meet the litter early! As being first pick after Lisa & her family, I thought I wanted to take my time and get to know the puppies. I thought I would be choosing my little one after visiting the puppies a few times, but instead our little girl chose me the first day we met. Lisa let me visit several times before bringing our little girl home allowing me to bring a blanket to get her litter's scent all over it before coming home and more. These visits were so meaningful to me and each one made me more and more excited to bring our girl home!

Little miss Baylie is now about 12 weeks old and she is everything I could ever dream of. She is so full of energy and loves her big sister Zara. We get so many "oh my goodness she's so cute she doesn't even look real!" comments whenever we go out for walks. She definitely knows that I am her mama and she is my Baylie. I cannot recommend AK Mountain Doodles enough! I am also very excited because my mother, after going to one of my early visits got to meet Evie and instantly fell in love! I am so excited as she is expecting a fur baby from Evie's litter this year!

I would just like to thank Lisa and her entire family for the role they've played in our lives in making it possible for us to live with my absolutely cherished new family member! I can't imagine what my life would be without my dogs and I am so excited for the future and many adventures with Baylie, my mom's puppy from Evie's litter and (maybe) more! It is a privilege to be their caretakers, even though truly it is the dogs that are taking care of us. I am so beyond grateful for everything and am so thankful for the newly found relationship with Ak Mountain Doodles!

"The Carleton family was a joy to work with. The whole process was easy, fun and informative. They were very helpful with all the questions we had. We were able to see and play with the puppies at 6 weeks old! They kept us updated with puppy photos on their website. They accommodated our pre-planned travel schedule by keeping Whiskey until we returned and could bring him home. Goldendoodles are both loving and sweet. The puppies that come out of this home are special because they socialize with their large family and their other dogs. They also start the process of crate training and potty training using a bell.

Our Whiskey boy is an absolute joy and we love having him part of our family! I would highly recommend adopting a puppy through AK Mountain Doodles because of the tender love and care they give to their dogs!"

"Since this was our first puppy in a decade or more I was a little apprehensive. Lisa made the whole process simple and explained what to get ahead of time to welcome Brynlee home. Brynlee also came with a bill of health and several references for training and the caring of her. As they are also family oriented, Lisa was able to let my son and I visit Brynlee a couple of times and pick her up on Christmas! As of this writing Brynlee is doing well and my only concern is she is so smart that she is training my 4 year old to get treats by going outside and not going potty. He is now privy to her shenanigans and make sure she does her business or no treat. We are very happy with our decision to adopt from the Carleton family."

I truly believe our puppy was meant to be with us! The timing in finding AK mountain doodles website and the next expected litter was just perfect. We were looking for that perfect fit for our family of five. Lisa was extremely helpful during the whole process of picking out our puppy, sending weekly pictures so we could watch as he grew, and then pick up day was a breeze. I have to say that the home these puppies come from is in my opinion, one of a kind. The Carleton family gave all the puppies so much love and attention that the process of moving to a new family comes with ease. Lisa was so great to work with when we decided to get a new puppy for our family. I feel like Lisa communicated so well during the entire process, from our first phone call when we were curious about the adoption process, to Pippa becoming pregnant, to the puppies being born. I really felt included in the entire process. Our two boys were so excited to get to pick out our puppy and then see weekly pictures of our little Wrigley. Lisa and her family obviously love dogs and give them such a great start to life! The transition to our home was so easy, they had already begun some training on all the pups before pick up day. We were given some helpful tips and methods to work on which was great. Wrigley was potty trained very quickly and was right at home immediately. She is so smart and fun to train, she had a great personality and is just so dang cute! She loves being outside playing, hiking and romping in the snow! We feel so blessed to have met Lisa and her family and to now have Wrigley as part of our family. Thank you so much!

The waiting time was so worth it! Our Mini Goldendoodle, Lina, is just such a smart, lovely and funny dog and we could’t wish for a better one.
Lisa always kept us updated about everything that happened during the whole process. We were so excited when the message came, that Pippa had three healthy little puppies.
We received pictures and news every week, our Sunday highlight. At the age of three weeks we were invited to their house to choose our puppy. We could see that Pippa
took very good care of her little ones by being protective but still friendly. Lisa and her family took the time to answer every question and we had a lovely time with the puppies.
At the age of 8 weeks we picked up our Puppy and even after that Lisa would still message us and helped us with any questions. We really can recommend AK Mountain Doodles and are so happy to call Lina our new family member.

We are so much in love with our little Addison. Lisa was a joy and absolute pleasure to work with. We received updates throughout the pregnancy and received pictures regularly until we picked little Addison up. Addison already knew her name as Lisa encouraged us to provide to make the transition easier. Addison was well socialized prior to us getting her." Addy" is amazing with people and other dogs and was familiar with the potty pads, which made it easy while traveling the first week while in transit home. All this was at just 8 weeks. Wow! The whole experience was awesome. It was very clear that they gave so much attention and love to every one of their puppies. It showed in Addy's demeanor from the first day we had her. This was our first experience with a breeder and I cannot give enough praise to Alaska Mountain Doodles. Thanks for everything.
